This Privacy Policy describes what data we collect and process when you use the Assignly application and website (“Service”). The Service includes a software application users install on Slack, optionally download to a mobile device (legacy), and a service that processes data on our servers. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Please return to it whenever you want to obtain information about your privacy options.
We collect and process your account credentials to provide you the Service. Your account credentials may include the name, username, workplace you entered when signing up with Slack and are explicitly regulated by the Slack permission you grant the Service at installation on Slack. If you create an account through the Service outside Slack, we will store an encrypted version of your password. If you connect your account to a third party service, we store your authentication token to enable this access. Assignly does not use your account credentials for any other purpose.
We collect and process the data you enter, such as to-dos, reminders, events, polls, announcements, surveys, locations, notes, email addresses, messages, as well as the status of each item (e.g. invite accepted, task done, poll voted, announcement read). Assignly uses this information solely to provide you the Service.
We collect and process your email address to provide you the Service, carry out transactions you authorize and communicate with you. For example, we might use your email address to request feedback or provide updates and notifications regarding the Service. Such communications are extremely rare, if any. You may control promotional emails from us by following the instructions in those emails. If you opt out of promotional messages, you may still receive emails from us relating to your account and the Service (e.g., relating to product updates, password resets, etc.). These account communications are part of the Service, and account holders cannot opt out of receiving these account communications.
We may provide paid products and/or services within the Service. In that case, we use third-party services for payment processing (e.g. payment processors).
We will not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment information.
